This watercolor painting of Cowboy with Horse, is a classic Western figure of the relationship between a man and his horse. I used a photo by Anita Jones Bozich as a reference for this painting.

The California Trail Interpretive Center (west of Elko, NV) hosted a ?learn & paint? activity. The subject was owls. I began this piece during the hourlong class, then, finished later giving myself a little freedom to venture away from the exact lesson example. Title or Location: Springtime at Ault Park Pavilion
My Ault Park Pavilion painting was inspired by a perfect spring day when my husband and I wandered beneath the cherry blossoms at Ault Park. He paused to take photos of the blooms while I soaked in the beauty of the pavilion I?ve always loved?its arches, its history, its quiet elegance. That peaceful moment together, surrounded by soft pink petals and the architecture I adore, became the heart of this piece.
